The Series 7™ is an icon in modern furniture history — designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955, its pressure-moulded veneer shell is timeless and incredibly versatile. The 3107 is the original four-leg configuration: nine layers of moulded veneer, slim 14mm steel tube legs, and a form that remains as resolved today as it was seventy years ago.
This version is finished in natural wood veneer — a thin layer of hardwood bonded to a concealed substrate and sealed with a clear lacquer to reveal the beautiful grain and veining of the wood. Fritz Hansen sources its veneer responsibly, selecting only the highest quality timber, free from knots, sap or cracks. As a natural material, colour and grain will vary subtly from piece to piece. N.B. Veneer surfaces patinate within the first weeks of use.
Available in six finishes — beech, cherry, elm, oak, walnut and dark stained oak — each with its own character in colour, grain and hardness.
