A Form That Looks Carved from a Single Thought

Henning Koppel designed the HK20 Bubi in 1972, and it carries all the hallmarks of his sculptural approach: a fluid, drop-like silhouette that reads as an object first and a light fitting second. The shade is opal acrylic, diffusing light softly and without glare. The top and socket are chrome or brass plated — a small but considered material choice that shifts the character of the piece entirely.

Versatile in use: hang it singly over a reading chair or bedside table, group multiples at varying heights for a more composed installation, or rest it directly on its casing as a table light. The glare-free output makes it well suited to intimate, small-scale spaces.
