The Complete Recliner
Børge Mogensen — known as 'the people's designer' — originally developed the Deck Chair Series for his own balcony in 1968, driven by a need for outdoor furniture that was comfortable, functional, and space-saving. The BM5565 Deck Chair with Footrest is the latest addition to that series, introduced to Carl Hansen & Søn's collection in 2020.
The reclining teak frame follows the natural curvature of the body, with slatted teak that gives the chair its characteristic lightness and honest look. Left untreated, the FSC™-certified teak patinates beautifully over time. The chair folds flat and can be hung on the series' corresponding wall mount when not in use. Includes a loose cushion in weatherproof Sunbrella fabric.
