Vitra Visiona Stool
Manufacturer: Vitra | Designer: Verner Panton, 1970
Geometry from the Cologne Fair
Born from one of the most radical interiors of the twentieth century, the Visiona Stool was designed by Verner Panton for his legendary Visiona II installation at the 1970 Cologne Furniture Fair — a psychedelic, immersive environment that redefined what interior design could be.
Compact and quietly sculptural, the stool distils Panton's geometric sensibility into a form that is as practical as it is considered. Light enough to reposition at will, it lends itself to spontaneous arrangement — a single accent piece or grouped in multiples. The upholstered cover is secured with an elastic band for easy removal and cleaning. Available across a range of Vitra fabrics and colours, it integrates seamlessly into any interior — from the understated to the boldly expressive.
Specifications
- Dimensions — Ø42 × H41cm
- Upholstery — polyurethane foam with polystyrene core and polyester filling
- Base — MDF board with felt glides
For more information on available fabrics and colours, visit the Vitra Colour & Material Library.
Pairs well with the Vitra Amoebe Lounge Chair, the Vitra Amoebe Highback, the Vitra Cone Chair and the Vitra Heart Cone Chair.
