The Everyday HAL
The HAL RE Tube Chair is the core version of the HAL RE family — Jasper Morrison's recycled plastic shell on a four-legged tubular steel base, available in chrome, ivory, or basic dark powder-coat. The combination works equally well at a dining table, in a meeting room, or in a restaurant setting, and the powder-coated versions are suitable for outdoor use on a temporary or seasonal basis.
The seat shell is moulded from dyed-through recycled polypropylene sourced from Germany's 'Yellow Bag' (Gelber Sack) household waste collection, generating 54% fewer climate-damaging emissions than conventional plastic. Due to the composition of the recycled material, the colours are interspersed with tiny specks of pigment — a characteristic of the material. The HAL RE seat shell can also be 100% recycled at the end of its life.
