A Cantilever Chair in a Single Material
The Evo-C is a considered reworking of the classic cantilever chair in a single material. Made entirely from 100% recyclable polypropylene, it uses gas injection moulding to create hollow, tube-like load-bearing components that flow seamlessly into the seat and back — achieving the springy resilience of cantilevered tubular steel without the need for metal.
Morrison's intention was to remove every superfluous detail, leaving only what is structurally and ergonomically necessary. The result is a chair with a graceful, almost self-effacing silhouette — one that recedes behind the sitter when occupied, and reads as a quiet two-legged sculpture when not.
