The DKW-2 — Wire Shell, Wood Base, Bikini Pad

The DKW-2 is the Vitra Eames Wire Chair DKW fitted with the two-piece ‘Bikini’ seat and back pad — permanently attached, adding comfort while preserving the graphic quality of the dark wire shell. The back pad in leather is covered on the rear in Plano fabric, except for leather snow which is used on both sides.

The same chair as the DKW in all other respects — powder-coated basic dark wire shell on a solid maple base in black, dark, or golden maple.

• Base — solid maple with stained finish, steel rod cross struts

• Origin of wood — maple (Acer platanoides) from Western Europe and/or Poland
