Poul M. Volther designed the J110 for FDB — the Danish Consumers’ Cooperative — with a brief that sat between a dining chair and a lounge chair. The long vertical rods at the back and the curved armrests give it an open, inviting quality that sets it apart from a standard dining chair, while the solid construction keeps it grounded and practical. It remains one of the most characterful chairs in the FDB series.

HAY’s relaunch is crafted in solid oak or solid beech, with veneer seat and backrest to match. All versions are FSC™-certified.
