The VLA75S Foyer Bench was designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in 1945 as one of three pieces created exclusively for the foyer of Radiohuset in Copenhagen — the building that today houses the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Simple and considered in its expression, the bench features an upholstered cushion with handmade buttons on a slender, solid oak frame.

Alongside the longer original design, Carl Hansen & Søn has adapted the bench into a more compact 131cm length, so that the beauty of the original can be enjoyed in smaller spaces — ideal for private residences, hotels, and restaurants.
