The BM0488S is the shorter version of Børge Mogensen's versatile Table Bench. Originally created in 1958 as part of his 'building furniture' concept — pieces designed to adapt to changing needs and spaces over time — it works equally well as a bench in an entrance hall, at the foot of a bed, or as a low side table in a living or dining room. Crafted in solid oak heartwood — the dense, flawless inner portion of the trunk — the bench is shaped using traditional cabinetry joints with rounded edges that carry through the legs and rails. The seat is finished with a double-woven rattan surface, durable and decorative in equal measure.
