The Sound of Design
Vilhelm Lauritzen created the Vega Chair in 1956 for the concert halls of Vega — the modernist masterpiece he built in Copenhagen that year. Previously found only within those historic halls, the VLA26T is now put into production by Carl Hansen & Søn in partnership with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, making it available to a wider audience for the first time.
Profiling Lauritzen’s signature aesthetic, the functionalist design appears effortlessly simple yet is imbued with character. Well-proportioned for comfort, its back curves to embrace the sitter. Expertly crafted in wood and steel, the stackable design is given an artisanal warmth by its elegant solid wood feet.
Craftsmanship & Finish
The VLA26T features a veneer seat and back, giving the chair a lighter, more graphic expression. The frame is available in black powder coated steel or chrome plated steel.
