The RF1903F Sideways Footstool was designed by Rikke Frost as a natural companion to the Sideways Sofa — sharing its organic silhouette, its solid oak frame, and its characteristic legs. Round and unhurried in form, it works equally well alongside the sofa or standing alone as an object in its own right.

The upholstery is cut from a single piece of fabric and stretched over the foam so that the weave remains straight without wrinkling — a technique that demands considerable skill from the upholsterer, and one that gives the footstool its clean, taut finish.
