The Short Backrest Module — Seat Without Arms

The E530 is a single seat module with short backrest and no armrests from the Embrace Outdoor Lounge Sofa series — a low-profile module designed to sit at the heart of any configuration where an open, uninterrupted silhouette is the priority. Created by Vienna-based studio EOOS as part of the Embrace Outdoor Series for Carl Hansen & Søn, it combines freely with the full range of Embrace modules to build a sofa that fits your outdoor space precisely, from a compact two-seater to a generous corner arrangement.

The frame is solid FSC™-certified teak, untreated, with a tightly hand-woven flat rope back. Left untreated, the teak develops a sophisticated silver-grey patina over time. The cushions come in colours inspired by the Scandinavian landscape — pillows in six colours, cushions in three — and can be mixed and matched for personalisation. Cushions are removable for easy cleaning and storage. All cushions are made from cold-cured (CMHR) foam to meet UK fire regulations.
