A Table Designed Around People

The E020 Embrace Dining Table was designed by EOOS for Carl Hansen & Søn in 2019 as part of the Embrace Series. The round tabletop encourages conversation naturally — no head of the table, no hierarchy. The legs are pulled towards the centre of the base, maximising legroom around the full circumference and making it genuinely comfortable for everyone seated.

The construction brings together three components: a solid wood base, a steel wire structure, and a circular tabletop. The result is a table that feels lighter than its materials suggest — the tabletop appearing to float above the frame, with the steel wire adding structural rigidity without visual weight.

Craftsmanship & Finish

Available in three diameters. The tabletop edge always matches the wood base finish. Oak CHS Black is only available with a black laminate top.

Please note: Solid wood is a living material that gives and absorbs moisture from its surroundings. To prevent cracks, please avoid sudden changes in humidity and temperature. Cracks caused by desiccation are not covered under warranty.
