An Extendable Dining Table for Grand Occasions
The CH339 is the largest table in Hans J. Wegner’s trio of elliptical dining tables — a step up from the CH338, which itself extends the CH337. At 240cm it seats eight comfortably. With its softly curved solid wood tabletop, sloping rails, and transverse grain, the CH339 has an inviting, organic presence that works equally well as a dining table or a meeting table for larger gatherings.
The CH339 can be extended with up to two or four leaves depending on the version selected, reaching up to 360cm or 480cm — seating up to twelve or sixteen. The sloping rails mean that chairs, when pushed in, follow the curve of the table edge naturally. Extension leaves are sold separately and are available in solid wood to match the table, or in grey or black MDF.
Craftsmanship & Finish
Two size configurations are available: the 360cm version includes hardware for two leaves and one support leg; the 480cm version includes hardware for four leaves and three support legs. We recommend ordering leaves at the same time as the table to ensure the closest possible grain match. The CH337I extension leaves are sold separately.
