The CH290F Footstool was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1962 as part of the CH290 Series — a versatile collection of lounge furniture united by exposed FSC®-certified oak frames and carefully considered upholstery. Compact and quietly confident, the footstool works equally well alongside the CH290 Lounge Chair or as a standalone piece in its own right.

Craftsmanship & Finish

The frame is constructed in FSC®-certified solid oak, hand-finished to a smooth surface to enhance the natural beauty of the wood. Opposing raised sides embrace a hand-upholstered seat cushion in a removable fabric or leather cover — designed for both comfort and ease of maintenance. Rooted in Wegner's hallmark approach — rigorous in its carpentry, straightforward in its form — the CH290F is a piece that earns its place without demanding attention.
