Carl Hansen CH110 Desk
Manufacturer: Carl Hansen & SΓΈn | Designer: Hans J. Wegner, 1970
A Desk That Rewards Closer Inspection
The CH110 sits apart from most of Wegner's output β not because it is less considered, but because it applies that consideration to a different problem. Designed in 1970 as part of the CH100 series, it is a desk built around the idea that a working surface should be as resolved as any chair. The tabletop, rails, and two drawers are unified into a single veneered element, resting on two slim legs in stainless flat steel. The result is a desk that reads as one thing, not an assembly of parts.
The drawers are finished with dovetail joints and fitted with stainless steel handles engineered to hold their form over years of use. One drawer contains a small tray with a rounded base β a detail that is easy to miss and harder to forget. Available in Oak or Walnut, oiled or lacquered.
Craftsmanship & Finish
- Dimensions β W190 Γ D95 Γ H72cm
- Table top β Veneer and solid wood
- Base β Stainless steel
- Finishes β Oak Oil, Oak White Oil, Oak Clear Lacquer, Walnut Oil, Walnut Lacquer
Please note: Solid wood is a living material that gives and absorbs moisture from its surroundings. To prevent cracks, please avoid sudden changes in humidity and temperature. Cracks caused by desiccation are not covered under warranty.
Designed to be paired with the Carl Hansen CH111 Office Chair. Part of the CH100 series, relaunched in 2008 to mark Carl Hansen & SΓΈn's 100th anniversary. Part of the Carl Hansen Home Office collection.
