The CH002 is the smaller of two drop leaf dining tables Hans J. Wegner designed in 1982 — a considered response to the needs of compact modern living. At 90×90cm it sits lightly in a kitchen or dining room; lift one leaf and it extends to 139cm, lift both and it reaches 188cm, ready for a dinner party without rearranging the room around it. The leaves are hinged and fitted, so the extension takes moments rather than effort.
Available in solid Beech or Oak across a choice of finishes. Beech Soap gives a pale, matte Scandinavian tone; Beech Oil brings out the natural warmth of the grain. In Oak, Soap and Oil offer the same range of character, while Oak White Oil sits between the two — a soft, milky finish that diffuses the grain without losing it.
