The Plate Dining Table is one of Jasper Morrison's most considered pieces for Vitra — a table that earns its place through proportion rather than gesture. The tapered legs with a quarter-circle profile and slender frame follow Morrison's principle of using as much material as necessary and no more, resulting in a silhouette that is graceful without being decorative. Details like the gently splayed legs and the slight overhang of the top nod to archetypal table-making, reinterpreted with quiet precision.

Available in four sizes from 180 to 240cm, with tops in powder-coated MDF or solid oak, the Plate Dining Table sits comfortably alongside a wide range of chairs — contemporary or classic. It is equally at home in a family dining room as it is in a considered interior.
