A Sofa in the Wegner Tradition

The CH292 2 Seater Sofa was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1962 as part of the CH290 Series. It takes the series’ characteristic language — visible slatted backrest, wide armrests, dynamically angled legs — and scales it into a two-seater that feels both considered and genuinely relaxed. Wegner made a conscious decision not to conceal the frame: the carpentry is honest and visible, softened by two carefully upholstered seat and back cushions in removable fabric or leather.

Craftsmanship & Finish

The FSC®-certified oak frame is hand-finished to a smooth surface, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood. Cushions are upholstered in your choice of Carl Hansen fabric or leather, with removable covers for easy care — making the CH292 as practical as it is elegant. A mid-century modern design that wears well in small living spaces and larger rooms alike.
