A Pivoting Arm Lamp Reduced to the Essentials

The Potence is regarded as one of Jean Prouvé's most puristic designs — a light bulb and a pivoting wall mount, nothing more. The long swing arm in powder-coated tubular steel is fitted with an oak handle to facilitate movement, and the cable is sheathed in a high-quality textile casing. A cord dimmer is included. Its reductive industrial character makes it equally at home in a living room, study, or lobby.
