A Portable Caddy for Flexible Working and Living
Designed by Konstantin Grcic for Vitra in 2021, the Drop Box is a lightweight caddy built for carrying personal essentials between spaces. Conceived for flexible working environments where people move between desks and settings throughout the day, it is equally at home in a kitchen, hallway, living room, or children's room — anywhere a portable, organised storage solution is useful.
Two side panels of recycled polypropylene are joined by aluminium tubes, with the top tube forming the handle. A structure of welded polyester textile panels is suspended across the remaining five tubes to create compartments. Despite its size, the Drop Box is light and easy to handle, and can be quickly dismantled when needed.
