A Desk Pad in Recycled Bonded Leather
Repad was developed by Vitra with Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec as a considered surface for the working desk. Large enough to accommodate A3 paper, a laptop, or a keyboard, it defines and anchors the personal workspace without imposing on it. The material is bonded leather — a recycled composite made from remnants of Vitra’s own furniture production, shredded and processed with vegetable tanning agents, natural rubber, fats, and water. The result has the pleasant feel of real leather with a lower material footprint.
Repad is available in five colours: a natural hue with a protective sealant, and four colour-coated variants — Black Natural, Clay, Dark Red, Jade, and Light Sage. The palette is coordinated with the Joyn 2 office table system but works equally well on any desk surface.
