Poul Henningsen developed his three-shade system in 1925–1926, first realised in cooperation with Louis Poulsen for the Paris Exhibition. Built on the logarithmic spiral, the system positions the light source at the focal point of the curve, with every shade angle calculated to redirect and soften the output of the bulb — eliminating glare and directing the majority of light downward. The PH Wall was launched in 1966 as part of a family that now numbers 30 lights, including three for outdoor use. It is a hybrid model: an approximately 450mm top shade paired with lower shades from the 3/3 scale, a combination first developed to bring pendants to lower heights and later adapted across the wall, floor and table lamp range.

This version is finished in brushed copper — spun copper shades, wall box and arm, with matt white-painted interiors to ensure diffuse, comfortable light distribution. The copper surfaces are intentionally left untreated to allow a natural patina to develop over time, progressing through an uneven, spotted stage before settling into a deep, dark golden verdigris. This is not a defect but an inherent quality of the material; the surface will continue to evolve and the markings will align and disappear as the patina matures.

Hardwired. Available with or without side cable holes in the wall box. Installation by a certified electrician is required.
