The PH 3½-2½ Metal Table Lamp was designed in 1928, based directly on Poul Henningsen’s original drawings. It is one of the earliest expressions of his three-shade system — and one of the most faithful to its origins. The shade holder uses the first type ever produced, with visible adjustment screws. The top metal shade has a rolled edge: a detail that is both decorative and structural, making the shade appear thicker than the material actually is. The frame is silk matt brown brass, replicating the appearance of the burnished brass lamps of the period — a finishing process no longer used for environmental reasons.

The combination is deliberate: a powder-coated spun aluminium top shade with a white-painted inner surface directs light efficiently downward, while two mouth-blown white opal glass lower shades — glossy on the exterior, sandblasted matte within — diffuse it into a soft, glare-free pool. Available in four colours: Red, Green, Yellow, and White.
