The MayDay Outdoor is Grcic's utilitarian classic reimagined for outside use. The same conical opaline diffuser and hook-handle of the original — now built to IP65, with a 6-metre outdoor cable and IP44 Schuko plug. The diffuser is injection-moulded from recycled polypropylene made from industrial process waste; the light source sits inside a sealed PMMA capsule with an elastomer gasket to keep out the elements. No glue is used in assembly, so every part can be properly recycled at end of life. An ON/OFF switch sits on the handle, and the handle doubles as a cable winder.
