Artek Aalto Riihitie Planter Pot
Manufacturer: Artek | Designer: Aino Aalto, 1937
The Riihitie Plant Pot was originally designed by Aino Aalto for the terrace of the home she and Alvar built on Helsinki's Riihitie Road. Its curved, cornerless form — organic in outline, considered in scale — reflects the Aaltos' conviction that even the smallest domestic objects deserve the same attention as a building. Though it featured in the Artek presentation at the Paris World Fair in 1937, it never went into serial production until now. Each pot is handmade from ceramic and available in two shapes: the smaller, more compact Shape A, and the broader Shape B.
- Dimensions (Shape A, Small): Length: 20.5 cm × Depth: 16 cm × Height: 12 cm
- Dimensions (Shape B, Medium): Length: 28 cm × Depth: 23 cm × Height: 16 cm
- Material: Handmade ceramic
