String System Folding Table

The String® System was designed in 1949 and over 60 years it has evolved from being a ground-breaking concept to becoming one of the most loved pieces of classic Scandinavian design. The folding table is one of its most ingenious components — a full-depth work or dining surface that disappears back into the system when not in use, taking up just 30cm of depth when folded.
At 78cm wide and 96cm deep when open, it works equally well as a home office desk, a kitchen prep surface or an occasional dining table. Seven finish combinations pair lacquered frames in beige, white or black with tops in ash, oak, walnut or matching lacquer.
Please note that this table requires the String side floor panels to work and these have to be ordered separately. Please get in touch if you would like advice on how the String system works.
