The Metropolitan is a swivel chair that earns its place in a room by doing very little — and doing it precisely. Jeffrey Bernett’s design is defined by a single continuous gesture: the seat flows uninterrupted into the armrests, creating a silhouette that reads as one resolved form rather than a collection of parts. Compact without feeling small, refined without being cold — and because it swivels, it looks right from every angle.
Base & Headrest Options
Two base options: the four-spoke aluminium star base (ME100_1) for a lighter, more open look; the aluminium disc base (ME100) for something more grounded and architectural. The headrest (ME_P) uses a magnetic adjustment system — note that the magnets are strong enough to affect pacemakers, magnetic cards, and electronic equipment.
