Camaleonda was designed by Mario Bellini in 1970 and has lost none of its relevance since. Built around a 90×90cm seat module whose original cutting pattern was preserved in the reissue by mutual agreement between Bellini and B&B Italia, it remains one of the most characterful sofas in the canon of twentieth-century Italian design. The characteristic capitónné padding is formed by an innovative system of cables, hooks and rings — allowing modules to be unhooked and recombined at will to suit any space or evolving configuration.

Few sofas reward long ownership as well as Camaleonda. Its modular logic means it can be reconfigured as rooms change, and its generous proportions and deep cushioning make it as comfortable as it is visually commanding.
